چکیده
Background The gold standard treatment for Uretero-Pelvic Junction Obstruction (UPJO) is laparoscopic dismembered pyeloplasty according to the Anderson-Hynes technique. internal Double-J ureteral (DJ) and Externalized PyeloUreteral (EPU) stents are usually drainage of choice. Only a few articles have compared clinical impact different techniques on perioperative morbidity none presented cost analysis incurred hospital stay. Objective To present outcome financial cohort children who underwent comparing use DJ versus EPU stent. Study design Retrospective study consecutives in single tertiary paediatric referral centre from January 2017 March 2020. Patients were grouped type stent used: vs Results Fifty-three pyeloplasties performed 51 patients: 27 (50.9%) had an 26 (49.1%) There was no statistically significant difference between two patient groups with regards surgical time, stay, stent-related complications or need re-do surgery. All removed outpatient admission 8.1 days ± 3.1 after surgery while cystoscopy 61.6 30.2 (p value < 0.001). On (Figure), costs removal significantly lower group (£ 686.7 263.4 £ 1425 299.5, p 0.01). Discussion Both methods some disadvantages. Possible associated include migration artificial vesicoureteral reflux which may lead higher incidence Urinary Tract Infections. disadvantages insertion related damage renal parenchyma risk developing skin site infections urinary leaks. However, our series has not been bleeding, leakage discomfort. In addition considerations, there implication be considered. With this regard, reduction costs. Conclusions

OBJECTIVE We evaluated the improvement of hydronephrosis longitudinally after laparoscopic dismembered Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty in adult patients with ureteropelvic junction obstruction. MATERIAL AND METHODS Sixteen patients underwent laparoscopic pyeloplasty at our institution between January 2006 and June 2012. Hydronephrosis was assessed by ultrasound and intravenous pyelography at 3, 6,...

BACKGROUND Anderson-Hynes dismembered pyeloplasty is the gold standard therapeutic approach to ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO). Use of a drainage method to protect the suture line from leakage is a matter of controversy. OBJECTIVES We have compared the surgical outcome of Anderson-Hynes dismembered pyeloplasty for UPJO repair, with or without internal stenting. PATIENTS AND METHOD...

Introduction Pyeloplasty is commonly conducted in children with uretero-pelvic junction obstruction. Standard post-operational procedure involves only a short period of time after the surgery. What is the real number of complications, including those in the long-term? What is the function of the operated kidney? The aims of this study are to assess the effectiveness of pyeloplasty and to assess ...
